What We Did On Our Summer Vacation: 2026

Although we're excited to be back in the studio, the summer doesn't feel that long ago. Our last blog post talked about how just a few of the dancers occupied themselves this summer, but many company members had some fun adventures. Read on to see where dancers traveled, what they accomplished, and how many got engaged!

Travels
Brenna Mazzara
Soloist dancer Brenna Mazzara choreographed the US Army Field Band’s set for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and traveled to Scotland to see her husband, Joey, perform with the group.

Cassandra Hope Moyer
Demi-Soloist dancer Cassandra Hope Moyer celebrated her honeymoon in Jamaica.

Karen Fleming, Madeline Jones, and Emma Lane
Corps de Ballet dancers Karen Fleming, Madeline Jones, and Emma Lane traveled to Kansas City to go shopping at the Elevé store, explore the city, and see Kansas City Ballet perform The Great Gatsby.

Cindy Case
I had a busy summer, too—this year, my husband and I enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Smith Island, Orlando, and Nashville.

Accomplishments
Victoria Sanzotera
Principal dancer Victoria Sanzotera trained and competed in her first bodybuilding show, where she came in 1st in the True Novice Bikini Division and was the Overall Novice Bikini Champion at the 2026 NPC American Heroes National Championships.

Soloist dancer Aaron Bauer learned how to cut gemstones by hand.

Julia Walden
Demi-soloist dancer Julia Walden got engaged to her new fiancé Matthew.

Erin Jenkins
Demi-Soloist dancer Erin Jenkins got engaged at Quiet Waters Park to her new fiancé Wyatt.

Rowan Treece
Demi-Soloist dancer Rowan Treece got engaged at Ladew Topiary Gardens to her new fiancé Jake.

Mia Koshansky
Corps de Ballet dancer Mia Koshansky got engaged at Olympic National Park to her new fiancé Zackary.

Now that we're back in the studio, we're hard at work preparing for our upcoming shows! This year, Ballet in the Garden will feature excerpts from Coppélia as well as contemporary choreography by company dancers Victoria Sanzotera, Isaac Martinez, Michael West Jr., and Karen Fleming.
In October, join us for the BTM premiere of La Sylphide! This quintessential Romantic ballet, set in the Scottish Highlands, depicts the dangerous allure of the supernatural.
