Ballet Theatre of Maryland begins what promises to be the most-attended ballet season of our history. We are pleased to offer opportunities to sponsor BTM's outstanding performances. Targeted toward families and the community, BTM special events are designed to create a memorable experience that allows our patrons to meet BTM dancers one to one. Our events may offer a preview of performances to come, may immediately follow a dance performance, maybe an opportunity to reach underserved audiences, or maybe a fundraising event that complements the theme of our fall or spring performances.
Education is an essential element of BTM’s mission. You may be familiar with BTM’s school of dance and our family-friendly performances, but those makeup only a third of our impact on children. BTM dancers perform at schools throughout the state, school children attend our special mini-shows, and we reach out to under-served children in the community through non-profits such as the Casey Cares and CASA and hold events that celebrate, educate, and inspire. This year we are collaborating with Head Start in our new Tiny Toes in the Studio program, which develops new knowledge, skills, and awareness about dance, music, and theater that children and their teachers integrate into core skills in pre-reading, social sciences, and math.
