The BTM Trainee Program
Our Trainee Program serves as the bridge between the BTM Conservatory of Dance and the Professional Company for post-high school-aged dancers. Our Trainee schedule is unique in that dancers take roughly fifteen hours of classes per week including classes in the evenings within the Conservatory and during the day with the Company. With over twenty performance opportunities per season, our trainees perform alongside the main company as well as their own performances within the Conservatory. Focus is placed on preparing the trainee dancer for the daily life and expectations of a professional ballet company all while refining their technique and performance quality and continuing to grow as individual artists.
Trainee dancers are selected through our annual audition process and make Annapolis their home to participate in this unique training opportunity.
What does a Trainee schedule look like?
All Trainee classes are held at the Merritt Annex.

4:15 PM - 7:00 PM
Contemporary
7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
