Sarah Hoffman

Sarah Hoffman, of York, Pennsylvania, discovered her passion for performing at a young age and started taking classes at Greater York Dance. She shifted her focus more seriously toward ballet in middle school and enhanced her training by joining their pre-professional company, Midstate Ballet. She then continued her education at Wilkes University, studying ballet under the direction of Kristin Degnan-Boonin and Karla Kovatch as well as jazz, modern, and musical theatre under Lynne Esgro. While at Wilkes, Sarah performed featured roles such as Sugar Plum and Klara in The Nutcracker, Cygnet in Swan Lake, Terri in A Chorus Line, and Frenchie in Cabaret. She also served as the dance captain for five university musical theatre productions as well as taught ballet at the Wilkes University Conservatory. Sarah graduated summa cum laude with three degrees in Dance Pedagogy, Mathematics, and Secondary Education. She joined Ballet Theatre of Maryland in 2020 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2023.
