It is with profound sadness that we commemorate the life and service of Gail Deutsch, a cherished longtime board member and honorary trustee of the Ballet Theatre of Maryland.  Gail’s leadership and generosity over many years were instrumental in advancing our mission: to bring the beauty and possibility of dance to Maryland’s communities and support the next generation of artists.

As Secretary of the Board (and later Honorary Member), Gail helped guide our governance with insight and unwavering support. Her tireless volunteerism-- whether organizing an event, supporting productions, or lending her talents to costuming-- reflected her hands-on dedication and heartfelt love for the company and its dancers.

To honor Gail’s legacy and her love for the arts, her family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Ballet Theatre of Maryland. Your gift will continue the work she so passionately supported: training young dancers, expanding our community engagement, and enriching lives through movement and performance.
