Catherine Welch

Catherine Welch, originally from Encinitas, California, began her formal ballet training at To The Pointe Ballet School and continued her training at the University of Utah where she received a BFA in Ballet with a teaching emphasis. She was also a member of the Character Dance Ensemble where she was able to train and perform in L’viv, Ukraine and the Basque Region of Spain. Her repertory includes Lead Fandango in Don Quixote, Eddie Stewart’s Sapphire Romance, and various roles in Giselle, Coppélia, Little Mermaid, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Bolero, and other contemporary works. She joined Ballet Theatre of Maryland in 2018 as a Trainee, was promoted to Apprentice in 2019, and to Demi-Soloist in 2022.
