Sarah Jung
Soloist
Sarah Jung started her rigorous ballet training in 2008 with International Ballet of Greenville, SC, studying Vaganova technique under Vlada Kysselova and Victoria Yanchuck. She then continued her training from 2014-2016 with South Carolina’s School for the Arts & Humanities under Irina Ushakova and Miriam Mesa Pelly. Sarah is a former Artist-in-Residence with the International Ballet of Greenville and performed with Georgia Dance Theatre. She danced the principal roles in Napoli as Terosina, Sleeping Beauty as Lilac Fairy, La Bayadère as Nikyia and Gamzatti, Swan Lake as Odile and Odette, and The Nutcracker Ballet as Sugar Plum, Snow Queen, and Dewdrop. She has danced additional lead roles in Firebird, Carmen, Paquita, Pas de Quatre, The Pharaoh’s Daughter, Laurencia, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Swan Lake, and Coppelia. She is an award winner of the Youth America Grand Prix from 2013-2016 and received an Honorable Mention award through the YoungArts program.
Sarah joined BTM in 2018 as an Apprentice, was promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2019, and Soloist in 2023.
