Rachel Visosky
Apprentice
Rachel Visosky started dancing when she was four years old. She began her professional ballet training at the International Ballet School in Littleton, Colorado, where she performed a number of leading roles, including Clara and Sugar Plum in The Nutcracker. She also starred in Ballet West’s Art Emotion Summer Showcase as Kitri and Dulcinea.Â
Rachel has danced with the Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Ballet West/ArtEmotion, Sarasota Ballet, and Orlando Ballet summer programs.Â
Rachel has been formally trained in Vaganova, Balanchine, and Royal Ballet styles, and has had the great privilege of training under Mark and Sandra Carlson, Olivier Pardina, Nikoloz Makhateli, and German Zamuel and Valentina Mukhanova. She studied character extensively under Marina Oreshkevich.
In 2022, Rachel has also danced competitively. Her performance of Giselle earned her a YAGP Top 12 Award, and her performance of Walpurgis Nacht earned her 14th Place at ADC Regionals.
She joined Ballet Tessera in 2022, where she performed a full-length principal role in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as well as starring roles in The Nutcracker.Â
Rachel joined the Ballet Theatre of Maryland as a Trainee in 2023, and performed as one of the Weird Sisters in Roman Mykytas’s Macbeth and as Clara’s cousin, Marie, in The Nutcracker.Â
She was promoted to Apprentice for the 2024 season.
