Hannah Brickey
Apprentice
Hannah Brickey began her dance training at the age of 3 at Centre for the Performing Arts, her hometown studio. At the age of 15, Hannah left home to start training seriously in classical ballet at Cary Ballet Conservatory, under the direction of Mariaelena Ruiz. At Cary Ballet Hannah got the opportunity to perform The Nutcracker and Coppélia set by Mariaelena Ruiz, and Bonjour Le Monde choreographed by Maria Konrad. After completing high school, she continued her studies at The Ailey School in New York City in their Professional Division where she was able to perform pieces choreographed by Pedro Ruiz and Alisya Razman while also studying Ailey Repertoire. In 2025 Hannah joined Ballet Theatre of Maryland as a Trainee and was promoted to Apprentice in 2026.
Since 2017 she has enriched her training at a variety of summer intensives including: Nashville Ballet, South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory, North County Academy Of Dance, Ballet Academy East, Sarasota Ballet, Joffrey Academy of Dance, Next Generation Ballet, Beckley Dance Theatre, Big Muddy Dance Theatre, Cary Ballet Conservatory, Hubbard Street, Sarasota Ballet, SALT, Ballet Neo, and Ballet Theatre of Maryland.
Hannah also has a great love of sharing dance with others. She has been a teaching assistant since the age of 10 and has also had the opportunity to teach on her own at Cary Ballet Conservatory and Ballet Theatre of Maryland.
Hannah is excited for this opportunity and to see what the 2026/2027 Season will bring!
