The Friends of Ballet Theatre of Maryland (FBTM) is a standing committee created by the Board of Trustees of Ballet Theatre of Maryland. It included parents and community members who support the Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM) Company and School by recruiting volunteers and organizing BTM’s various volunteer activities. FBTM organizes fundraisers to support production parties, scholarships and the professional dancers.

In the 2012-2013 year, FBTM sponsored the Sugar Plum Parties for The Nutcracker, the Arabian Nights Party for Aladdin, and the Once Upon a Time party for The Dancing Princesses. FBTM runs the boutique before many of the company's shows. FBTM also coordinated several Family Movie Nights for students and their families to socialize outside of the studio and class environment.

The FBTM has open meetings on the first Wednesday of each month held at Maryland Hall or the Merritt Annex. Social events are held periodically.
