New dramatic, traditional and contemporary works all come together as BTM presents: Innovations 2017-2018. Glazunov's Raymonda Suite, one of Petipa's many great ballets choreographed for the Russian Ballet in the 1800's, will be making its premiere at BTM. In celebration of her Fifteenth Anniversary, Artistic Director Dianna Cuatto is bringing back Gottchalk's Grande Tarantella, which she choreographed for the company her first season, and creating two new works for the program: Convergence, set to a newly commissioned score by returning composer Ryan Lucas, and Shades of Blue, set to the music of Camille Saint-Saens. In addition, the critically-acclaimed and enormously popular Vortex, set to Marc Galibre's driving score inspired by the world-famous vortexes of Sedona, Arizona, displays the energetic rigorousness of BTM's dance athletes.
*Grande Finale Season Celebration immediately following the matinee performance on Sunday.
